Our expertise / 03

Make projects and operations work together.

EPIC helps international companies coordinate China projects and improve the way operations are organised. From supplier follow-up to workflows, responsibilities and management decisions, the work connects advice with practical implementation.

What the work involves

Understand the workflow. Clarify the next decision.

An operational problem can sit between several teams, suppliers or stages of work. We review how information, decisions and responsibilities move through the process, then help define practical improvements. Supplier coordination, production and shipment follow-up can form part of that wider management scope.

01

Project coordination

Set out key milestones, responsibilities and approval points. Keep supplier exchanges focused on the next action and identify decisions needed from your team.

02

Production follow-up

Follow material readiness, production progress and completion dates with the supplier. Challenge unclear updates and identify delays or changes that need attention.

03

Quality issues & corrective actions

Coordinate the review of defects and technical deviations. Record evidence, discuss corrective options and follow agreed actions with the supplier.

04

Documentation & logistics coordination

Review agreed order and shipping documents, follow packing readiness and coordinate with suppliers and logistics partners through the shipment handover.

05

Operations & workflow improvement

Review how work moves between people and functions. Identify bottlenecks, duplicated steps and unclear handovers, then agree practical changes to improve coordination.

06

Management & change support

Clarify priorities, decision responsibilities and follow-up routines. Help teams prepare an action plan, communicate changes and review whether the revised way of working addresses the original problem.

A defined scope. Tangible outputs.

What you can work with.

Useful when a China project needs coordination, an operational workflow is creating delays, or your team needs help turning a management decision into an agreed action plan.

The deliverables below are examples. Your proposal defines the scope, responsibilities and outputs for your project.

  • A defined project or operational problem, with responsibilities mapped
  • A practical milestone or improvement plan with actions and owners
  • Progress reviews that identify blockers and decisions needed
  • Documented handovers and follow-up points for the agreed changes
Before we begin

Questions worth asking.

Is management support limited to production and logistics?

No. The scope can also include operations and general management support: reviewing workflows, clarifying roles, planning improvements and helping teams put changes into practice. The initial discussion defines the problem, people involved and expected outputs.

Can you join a project that is already in production?

Yes. We begin by reviewing the order, specification, approvals and current status. This helps define the available options and the immediate priorities before taking over a follow-up scope.

Can you guarantee the supplier’s delivery date?

A supplier’s capacity, material availability and unresolved approvals affect timing. EPIC follows commitments and escalates issues; delivery assumptions and dependencies need to remain visible throughout the project.

Does logistics coordination include freight forwarding?

The service focuses on coordinating suppliers, documents and shipment handovers with the relevant logistics partners. Freight bookings, customs services, insurance and related responsibilities are defined separately in the project scope.
