Our expertise / 01

Make the technical details work in production.

A product brief only becomes useful when a manufacturer can act on it. EPIC connects your requirements with the technical decisions, supplier discussions and approvals needed to move towards production.

What the work involves

From an idea or drawing to a clear production brief.

We help you examine how a product will be made, where requirements are unclear and what needs to be agreed with the supplier. The work brings technical and commercial choices into the same conversation, so that cost, quality and manufacturing constraints are considered together.

01

Requirements & specification review

Review drawings, materials, dimensions, intended use and acceptance requirements. Clarify assumptions before they become quotations or production commitments.

02

Technical supplier discussions

Translate project requirements into specific questions for manufacturers. Compare proposed materials, manufacturing processes and technical options against your priorities.

03

Product development & OEM coordination

Coordinate samples, product adjustments and manufacturing feedback. Keep a record of revisions and approvals so that the supplier works from the agreed version.

04

Production preparation & technical problem solving

Clarify tooling, assembly and process questions with suppliers. When a technical issue appears, review the facts and work through practical corrective options.

A defined scope. Tangible outputs.

What you can work with.

Useful when the product is not yet ready to quote, supplier proposals are difficult to compare, or a production issue needs technical judgement.

The deliverables below are examples. Your proposal defines the scope, responsibilities and outputs for your project.

  • A clarified technical brief and a list of open questions
  • A comparison of supplier proposals and technical trade-offs
  • A record of sample feedback, revisions and approval points
  • An agreed specification to support purchasing and production
Before we begin

Questions worth asking.

Can you work from existing drawings or samples?

Yes. The starting point can be drawings, a specification, a reference sample or an existing supplier proposal. We first identify what information is available and what still needs to be defined.

Do you replace our internal engineering team?

EPIC can coordinate the technical interface with Chinese suppliers and support decisions during development. Your team retains responsibility for its design requirements and final approvals; the exact scope is agreed for the project.

Can you support an existing supplier?

Yes. Technical coordination can be scoped around a supplier you already use, including sample reviews, specification clarification and problem solving.

What do you need to make happen in China?

A new supplier, a product to develop, a production issue or an order to manage. Tell us where you are and what needs to move forward.
